AND SUDDENLY THERE WAS AN ANGEL A MULTITUDE OF HEAVENLY HOST PRAISING GOD, AND SAYING, GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, AND ON EARTH "PEACE" GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN. Luke 2:13/14

This is such a wonderful time of year, As I ride about in my community this time of year, I rejoice in the decorations of this most blessed Christian Holiday. I see trees decorated, I see homes with beautiful lighting around them, and I see many displays of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. How I thank God I was born and lived my life in America. All my life, at almost 62, I have been exposes to the birth of God's only begotten Son. Yes, maybe like you who will read this, I didn't take it to heart for many years. I was busy doing my thing. The gospel message was for those who could conform to church life rules and regulations, which just didn't interest me. How I thank dear God, however, that He never gave up on me. The Bible lessons which were taught to me by my dear mom and devoted Sunday School teachers, were filed away in my brain so that one day, the Spirit of God could bring them forward to my heart, and lead me to a faithful relationship with Jesus Christ.

Listen to what the Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 3:15, And that from a child thou hast KNOW THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are able to make thee wise unto SALVATION through FAITH which is in Christ Jesus. Dear reader, are you such as one like we read here. As you celebrate the birth of Christ, do you have the PEACE the angels announced in our verse this week. No, there is not PEACE ON EARTH universally, but the possibility is there for every human being to have PEACE IN THEIR HEART. When you and I open our hearts to the One born 2000 years ago we too can have a PEACE that passes all human understanding.

Do you have such PEACE ? It will be your greatest gift from a Heavenly Father if you will open your heart and life to RECEIVE by faith, His dear Son( John 1:12). May I encourage you, as you shop for gifts and hear the familiar Christmas carols in the background, stop and listen to their message. Dear friend, God sent His Son into this dark and mixed up world, to give us hope and release from the bondage of failure and defeat. Do you have such hope and release ? It can be yours if you will turn or return to the true meaning of Christmas. As you drive around you town, as you watch TV, as you see the many lights, speak of Jesus Christ as the LIGHT OF THE WORLD.   The tree reminds me of the cross (tree) which He died to pay for my sins. The nativity scenes remind me of the God who didn't forget. The God who kept His promise. The God who became man, incarnate, Who dwelt among us, being born in a stable or lowly parents to redeem mankind from terrible mess we have gotten ourselves in. Do you know this Savior? He is still waiting to save you. To give you peace. Yes peace, even if you are alone. Peace if you are dealing with terminal illness or broken relationships. He alone is the Savior and His coming into the world  changed it. Will you let Him into your world to change you ? Find a Bible and read over and over Acts 2:21 and Romans 6:23. This Christmas truly open the real Gift of Christmas as spoken of in Romans 6:23 and know for a certainty the PEACE the hosts of Heaven sang about in our verse this week.
